In June 2023, UETM received a patent for a new invention - a self-aligning contact assembly. This solution was developed as part of the development and modernization of the outdoor switchgear design of the RUEN-UETM-110 series.
This solution allows organizing a conditionally movable connection of current-carrying elements at the time of assembly of high-voltage devices for connecting modules to each other. After final assembly and adjustment, the assembly will operate as a static current-carrying junction with low contact resistance and good current-carrying properties.
The self-aligning contact assembly simplifies the assembly and installation of various connecting modules, as well as the installation of the hardware (insulator) of the cable box.
In addition to other advantages of this solution, a very important point is the ability to minimize the amount of support insulation in the connecting modules of outdoor switchgear of the RUEN-UETM series, which significantly increases the reliability of the equipment and reduces its weight and size characteristics
