As part of the reconstruction at the Penza-2 substation operated by the branch of PJSC FGC UES – MES of the Volga, the installation and preparation for the commissioning of the VGT-UETM-500 gas column circuit breaker was carried out by the plant's specialists. The capacity of the 500 kV Penza-2 substation is 751 MVA. This is the largest electric grid facility in the Penza region. The substation provides electricity transit between the power systems of the Center and the Middle Volga. Its reliable operation depends on the power supply of large industrial consumers in the region, including the Penza plant "Avtomedtekhnika", where disinfection units are produced by orders of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Health of Russia.
