When implementing projects to replace oil switches with gas - fired ones, two types of tank gas-fired switches were used at the 110 kV Voronovo substation and the 110 kV Optik substation of the Lida Electric Networks branch of RUE Grodnoenergo, including those manufactured by JSC UETM.
Gas tank circuit breakers are used at substations with open 35-220 kV switchgear for switching, that is, switching on and off network sections (connections) with manual or automatic control. They are made in a three-pole or single-pole execution.
A circuit breaker that uses gas as a medium for extinguishing an electronic arc is very common on open and closed switchgear, without which almost no substation in the world can do without. Their reliability and high technical characteristics make such circuit breakers more popular in comparison with air, oil and low-oil high-voltage circuit breakers.
