UETM JSC and the Ural Energy Institute of the Ural Federal University implemented a joint project - during the year third-year students underwent practical training in conditions as close as possible to the realities of production. The groups were divided into three areas: high-voltage equipment, transformer production and the production of electrical machines. Students were supervised by UETM and UGM design engineers. At the end of May, projects were protected. The commission included the chief designer of VVA A.R. Rotblut, Deputy General Director for Human Resources E.I. Konovalyuk, Director UralENIN S.F. Sarapulov, as well as representatives of the Department of High Voltage Engineering I.E. Lopatin and V.I. Luzgin.
– We tried to organize the practice in such a way that the educational process does not break away from the urgent needs of the business, ”said the Deputy General Director for Human Resources E.I. Konovalyuk. - Students visited the enterprise every Wednesday and solved real production problems. We are interested in raising highly professional staff and striving to attract the best graduates, preparing them for the needs of production.
This form of training allows you to well evaluate the personal qualities of each student and the level of their interest in working at the enterprise and in the industry as a whole. The very degree of participation in the project and the involvement of each student was determined primarily by personal qualities and the level of motivation for learning and mastering professional skills, - curators in the direction of high-voltage equipment note.
In the next academic year, work in this area will be continued. Other participants showed interest in the project: Ural State Transport University and the Institute of New Materials and Technologies of Ural Federal University.
