SF6 Gas Column Circuit Breakers ВГТ-УЭТМ®-500

Circuit Breakers are applied in commutation of power networks in normal and emergency modes as well as operation in АПВ cycles in AC three-phase networks 50 Hz and rated voltage 500 kV

 There are two climatic versions: У and ХЛ*, location categories 1 GOST 15150-69 and GOST 15543.1 for operation out/indoor switchgears in temperate and cold climatic conditions

 Lower limits of ambient air temperature: for У1 version: minus 45 оС with SF6 gas filling; for ХЛ1* version: minus 52 оС with filling with gas mixture

 The upper ambient temperature limit is +40 оС

 By request we can also supply Т1 version with the upper temperature limit +50 оС

 Three-pole version: three poles are independent; they are controlled by one spring drive ППВ-УЭТМ®

 High factory readiness; simple and quick installation and commissioning

 Natural leakage level - below 0,5 % per year

 Circuit breaker’s insulation keeps the electrical strength at voltage 1,15 of the maximum phase voltage in case of gas overpressure lack

 Capacitive currents switched off without repeated breakthroughs; low overvoltage

 Low noise level at operation – according to high environmental requirements

 We can supply an accounting device for switching service life or a synchronous control device including switch life time accounting (for single-pole version).

 We can also supply a distribution cabinet.

2. Cycles and Operations of Circuit Breakers:

 Breaking (О);

Making (В);

Making-breaking (ВО) including – without intended delay between operations (В) and (О);

Breaking - making (ОВ) at any contact-free pause;

Breaking – making - breaking (ОВО) with intervals between operations according to items 3 & 4;

Commutation cycles:

О - 0,3с  – ВО - 180с - ВО;

О - 180с – ВО - 180с – ВО.

 3. Permissible breaking operations number for each pole without review and maintenance of arc chutes (commutation stability lifespan) at short-circuit currents and load currents:

 At the current 100% of the rated breaking current: 15 operations

At the current 60 % of the rated breaking current: 26 operations

At the operating currents equal to 3150A: 5000 operations «Making-random pause-breaking».

At the operating currents equal to 4000A: 1700 operations «Making-random pause-breaking»

 Permissible number of making operations for short-circuit currents should be not more than 50% of the permissible breaking operations; permissible making operations at load currents is equal to permissible breaking operations.

 4. Reliability of Circuit Breakers:

 Mechanical strength before overhaul maintenance: 10000 operations «Making –random pause - breaking» with no current in the main circuit;

Lifespan before the first maintenance at least 25 years, provided that mechanical strength or communication stability life was not spent. Maintenance necessity is judged by diagnostics of the circuit breaker technical condition;

Circuit breaker lifespan before retirement at least 40 years.
