Tank Circuit Breakers ВГБ-УЭТМ®-35

Gas-insulated tank circuit breakers for outdoor installation of the ВГБ-УЭТМ®-35 series are designed for switching electrical circuits under normal and emergency conditions, as well as for operating in standard cycles with automatic reclosing in three-phase AC networks of 50 and 60 Hz rated voltage of 35 kV.

  • Circuit breakers can operate in a wide range of climatic conditions: from the Far North (lower working value of the ambient temperature - minus 60 °C) to areas with a tropical climate (upper working temperature value + 55 °C)
  • Complete factory readiness for simple and quick installation, the CB is supplied fully regulated, filled with SF6 gas to the operating pressure.
  • Lack of dynamic loads on the foundation when working
  • No overvoltage even when disconnecting small inductive currents and disconnecting without repeated breakdown of capacitive currents up to 600 A
  • Reduced natural gas leakage rate
  • The big mechanical and switching resources providing work during normal operation conditions during all service life of the circuit breaker
  • High reliability: even if the excess pressure of the SF6 gas drops to zero, the circuit breaker withstands long-term exposure to 52 kV and cuts off load currents up to 600 A

Note:1. For circuit breakers with dependent drive power, the operating voltage range of the alternating current at the rectifier terminals is 200-242 V. The single-phase transformer power to supply the rectifier is at least 25 kV • A.  This ensures the inclusion of a latching on short circuit currents up to 12.5 kA. No inductive energy storage required.2. If it is necessary to increase the number of signal circuits, it is allowed to use both (closing and opening) contacts of the BKM node provided that the circuits have a common point (a jumper is installed between the closing and opening contacts of the BKM) and do not carry an inductive load.

The CB has the following reliability and durability:.

  • Resource on mechanical firmness before the first repair - 10,000 cycles “on-random pause-off” (В-tn-О without current in the main circuit).

Allowed for each pole of the CB without inspection and repair of arc-suppressing devices, contacts and replacement of SF6 gas, the number of shutdown operations (resource for switching resistance) is at least one of the values:

  • With currents Iо,ном– 33 breakings;
  • With currents 0,6 Iо,ном– 70 breakings;
  • At rated load current - 2000 operations (including operations of switching off capacitive currents up to 600 A of single capacitor batteries).

The permissible additional number of switching operations is 50% of the specified number of switching operations (at rated load current - 100%).
