Tank Circuit Breakers ВЭБ-УЭТМ®-110

Circuit breakers are designed for switching electrical circuits under normal and emergency modes, as well as working in reclosing cycles in three-phase AC networks of 50 Hz frequency with a rated voltage of 110 kV.

  • Circuit breakers can be manufactured in three-pole, two-pole or single-pole design:
  • Triple-pole and double-pole design: the poles are placed on the same frame and are controlled by a single spring drive;
  • Single-pole design: each pole is located on its own frame and has its own drive.
  • Circuit breakers are manufactured in climatic versions U *, UHL *, UHL placement categories 1 GOST 15150-69, GOST 15543.1 and are intended for operation in open and closed switchgear in areas with a temperate and cold climate
  • The upper operating temperature value of the ambient air switch is +40 °С
  • The lower operating temperature of the ambient air switch is:
  • For climatic version U1* – minus 40 °С;
  • For climatic version UHL1* – minus 55 °С;
  • For climatic version UHL1 – minus 60 °С;
  • On request it is possible to supply CBs in climatic version T1 - the upper working value of the ambient air temperature +55 °С
  • The CB in climatic modifications of UHL1 *; UHL1 is equipped with poles electrically heated devices, ensuring reliable operation of the CB in conditions of extremely low temperatures and wind load. With the help of temperature sensors installed in the electric heating devices, an alarm is provided regarding the correct operation of the heaters.
  • Availability of built-in current transformers of type ТВГ-УЭТМ®-110 with high accuracy classes and long calibration interval - 20 years. Up to six current transformers for commercial metering, measurement and protection can be installed at the switch poles (up to eight current transformers per pole can be installed on special order).  More information about the used embedded current transformers can be found on the page TVG-UETM®

  • The CBs are equipped with high-strength porcelain or polymer insulators
  • Each pole is equipped with electrical contact density indicators to continuously monitor the pressure of the gas
  • Natural gas leakage rate - no more than 0.5% per year
  • Possibility of shutting down load currents when the overpressure of the SF6 gas in the circuit breakers decreases to zero.
  • Maintaining the electrical strength of the insulation of the CB when the voltage is equal to 1.15 of the highest phase voltage in the case of reducing the excess pressure of the gas to zero

3) It is allowed to supply electromagnets with control of rectified current, for example, from the blocks: BPT-1002, BPNS-2, and also BPZ-401 with blocks of capacitors BK-403.

2. Circuit breakers perform the following operations and cycles:

  • Breaking (B);
  • Making (M);
  • Making-breaking (MB) including without intentional time delay between operations (M) and (B);
  • Breaking - making (BM) during any contactless pause, starting from tбк of the related tбт;
  • Breaking – making - breaking (BMB) with the time intervals between operations according to the above points;
  • switching cycles:
  • B-0,3с-MB-180с- MB;
  • B-0,3с- MB -20с- MB;
  • B-180с- MB -180с- MB.

3. Permissible for each pole of the circuit breaker without inspection and repair of arc-suppressing devices, the number of shutdown operations (resource for switching resistance) is:

  • at currents in the range from 60 to 100% of the rated tripping current - 20 operations (thus, for a three-pole switch, the total switching resource is 60 operations in this current range);
  • at operating currents equal to the nominal current of 5000 operations “making-random pause-breaking”.

The permissible number of switching operations for short-circuit currents for each pole must additionally be no more than 50% of the permissible number of breaking operations.

The allowed number of making operations for load currents is equal to the allowed number of breaking operations.

4. Circuit breakers have the following reliability and durability:

  • resource for mechanical stability before overhaul - 10,000 cycles "making - random pause-breaking" (M – tn – B)
  • Service life - at least 40 years;

Warranty period - 5 years
